An 8-Mile Swim in Lake Michigan
Producer & Editor
Br. Matt Wooters, SJ, is a marathon swimmer and religious brother. He swam 8 miles in Lake Michigan to raise money for Cristo Rey High School in Chicago. His fundraiser netted over $25k for the cause. When asked how he's able to swim for so long, he talks about entering the "flow state" and shared this: “Your brain kind of turns off, and then I can just be really present in that moment.” He continues, “And that for me, feels like I’m in touch with God. I’m in touch with the water.”
